Smokey Hills employees have been busy making plans for the Thanksgiving holiday as we are all excited to see our extended family and friends. Smokey Hills Outdoor Store is closed very few days out of the year, but we will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. From our family to yours, we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!We now have a fresh, deep coating of snow that has blanketed the tri-county area making for a beautiful start to winter. The demand for Ice Castles and ice fishing gear has again grown to a record-setting capacity as the local shallow lakes and ponds are showing the winter’s first skim of ice.

We will open our doors at 8am on Black Friday and we’ll be featuring some of the year’s best deals on firearms, fishing & accessories. First come first serve, we hope to see you there!
Park Rapids Area Ice Conditions 11/20/2016

Smokey Hills Outdoor Store will be checking on Ice conditions around the area and reporting them weekly.
With well over a foot of snow this week, the water temp dropped down quickly.
Air Temperatures are staying around the 30 degree mark during the day and dropping to mid 20’s at night, with only a few warmer days for the week peaking at 40 degrees.We are starting to see skim ice on the ponds and around some lake edges.
