Park Rapids Fishing Report 6/11/16
Walleye- Coasting out of the shallows to the weed lines or off the breaks in 10-15 feet of water looking for a slow easy leech or minnow. Drug behind a Northland “Pro- Walleye” Micro Blade Spinner or Long shank spinner!
Northern- Hanging around the shallows in 5-10 feet of water around the most amount of structure like timber, thick growing cabbage, looking for the easy prey. Tie on a Northland “Reed Runner” in either a 1/4th, 3/8th, or 1/2oz to sort through the smaller northern and find the Trophy!
Bass- Up anywhere from 4-8 feet of water in or around lilly pads, cabbage, timber, and bulrushes. Most have already spawned so now they are starting to aggressively feed looking to put the weight from the spawn back on. Tie on a Outkast tackle “RTX jig” paired with a YUM “Chunk” for your best luck to fill the limit!
Panfish and Crappie- Very Spread out throughout the water column from 5-15 feet of water looking for the most amount of structure again such as cabbage, docks, bulrushes, and lily pads. Tie on a Northland “Mimmic Minnow” or “Slurpie” either paired with a waxy, crappie minnow, or small leech for your best chance on filling the live well.
