Park Rapids Fishing Report 10/9/16 to 10/15/16

Walleye – Heading for the shallows looking for the fall feed. Find 12’-16’ of water. Look for structure and baitfish. Tie on a Kenkatch “Long Shanked Jig” either tipped with a rainbow or crawler.

Northern Pike – Mixed in with the walleyes and weeds from 8’-12’ of water. Tie on a Northland “Classic Spinner Bait” either plain or tipped with a sucker minnow to snag that trophy Northern!

Bass – On the hunt in 6’-12’ of water in the taller weeds. Looking for a Rapala “DT-6 or DT-10” in a crawfish color to imitate their favorite fall food.

Sunfish/Crappie – Mixed with all the other species in 10’-16’ of water. Tie on a VMC “Hot Skirt” either tipped with a crappie minnow or crawler for best chances on filling the bucket.
