Park Rapids ICE Fishing Report 2/12/17 to 2/18/2017With the weather warming up to around forty degrees the fishing is picking up, as well as snowmobiling, hiking, and many other outdoor activities.

Walleye – Out in 20′-40′ throughout the day, possibly suspended. In the evening coming into the shallows between 16′-24′ on the sharp breaks and points looking for a plain red hook tipped with either a rainbow or shiner. For a more aggressive approach rig up a Northland “Flutter Spoon” tipped with a minnow head.Northern Pike – Northern are looking for a big sucker minnow or shiner on either a Clam “Bigtooth” or Northland Quick-Strike rig in between 8′-16′

Sunfish/Crappie – Between 8″-16′ and some lakes out in 30′. Tie on a Smokey Hills “Panfish Pounder’ tungsten either jigging or under a bobber. Use either a crappie minnow or wax worm for best luck!
