So you may have just purchased a brand new Ice Castle RV Edition, or maybe you already own one or maybe you are still toughing it out in a tent and are wondering where to go for an enjoyable weekend. Here are some suggestions!
This Resort is family owned and is set up nicely for an Ice Castle RV Edition. They have 12 RV sites and 42 seasonal sites located on beautiful 8th Crow Wing Lake, just south of Nevis, Mn ( location within 10 miles of Park Rapids). When our Ice Castle reps come to help us out at Smokey Hills, this is where they stay and have had nothing but positive reviews of In-We-Go. The resort has over 1,000 feet of level shoreline and an outdoor pool on site. From 8th Crow Wing Lake, you can boat up to 9th Crow Wing and 10th Crow Wing Lakes for a fun day of fishing and exploring. Bring the whole family as the kids will enjoy their playground set that rivals that of most city parks. Ask for Ed or Sarah to get your spot reserved!
Sleeping Fawn is off the beaten path on very private Stocking Lake. Stocking has no public access which guarantees a strong fishery and a private, quiet retreat. They have 30 acres of mostly wooded land and 3 sites set up for RV use. Nearly 700 feet of shoreline is available for your use and a level, sandy beach is a main attraction. If you’re looking for a secluded get-away, this is it! Ask for Joe or Ellen.
Not to be confused with Long Lake east of Park Rapids, Long Lake Park is located just off of highway 71 north of Park Rapids. This campground is owned by Clearwater county and has 91 campsites. Shower & bathroom facilities are included. Long Lake (North 71) is well known as a deep clear lake that is home to a healthy rainbow trout population. The location is also close to Itasca State Park where you can see the start of the Mississippi, go on a tour with Coborn’s Lake Itasca Tours or climb the historic 100 foot tall fire tower.
